Jolin Tsai Finds Joy In Popular Chinese Period Drama "The Legend Of Zhen Huan"
Chinese period drama, The Legend of Zhen Huan, whose story revolves around the conflicts between the empress and concubines vying for the emperor's attention, has become so popular that it is currently the hot topic of discussion in Taiwan's entertainment industry.
Hosts Matilda Tao, Dee Hsu and songstress Jolin Tsai are intrigued by its story plots and have immersed themselves into the roles.
Pop singer Jolin felt deeply for one of its main characters, Hua Fei and even expressed her sentiments via her microblog updates regularly.
She was surprised when fans gave her an illustration of herself as the Empress Dowager of The Legend of Zhen Huan, holding her beloved dog Woohoo in her arms.
Jolin commented jokingly, "I am just a 'concubine'. I am still unqualified for 'Empress Dowager'!"
Her fans also started giving her new names such as "Concubine Tsai" and "Master Tsai", and spoke to her with terms used in the drama.
