Super Junior member Donghae gets entrepreneurial with a new business venture in Taipei and jointly set up a waffle café with his brother and cousin. Named 'The Grand Palace', the shop attracted a huge throng of fans on its opening day.
The 26-year-old announced the good news on Twitter yesterday, without any mention of his new venture prior to the official opening. He wrote: 'My elder brother and I have started a space in Taiwan for us to interact.'
In addition, he attached the café's address along with his tweet, which drew a large crowd to the venue and long lines formed outside the shop. Some had to queue for an hour before they could get the waffles which were sold out in a flash.
Donghae's cousin, who is also the store manager and head chef, shared that they spent six months preparing for the café. He also promised to get the idol to visit often, after seeing the massive response on the opening day.
Though Donghae was in Korea, he showed his appreciation to his fans via social media '“ 'Thanks everyone. I miss you guys so much.'
With Super Junior M's (sub-unit of Super Junior) impending comeback, fans are hoping that he would drop by 'The Grand Palace' when the group visits Taiwan for album promotions.
